16th September... after Big Bro

ooh don't we look lovely? having a great time at Egg.. one of the clubs in Kings Cross.

What a fantastic night it was! Out till 8am chatiing to random people and dancing away. There were 3 floors of music and an outdoors area set up like a beach..... sadly no water. Or no free water anyway..

16th September Big Brother House Party 2006!

aaaahhhhhh!!! I screamed down the line to Amy when she told me she got a ticket to the National Express Big Brother House Party!!! I'm so there!!

One of the housemates was supposed to be there, but sadly had prior commitments.. sad.. well I think it was much easier to run amok without her around. No pressure on looking proper and prim... like I ever could anyway!

Amy, Mic (her boyfriend) and I were the first ones into the house so we rushed madly thru the place taking photos and posing amongst all the fixtures. it looked a lot bigger than I was expecting, but of course most of the furniture was removed and pushed to one side.

We got to go backstage too and see behind the scenes which was weird. All the mirrors that you see around the place all had cameras behind them. eek!! not good!! As soon as you got back into the house you forgot all about the cameras. Very troubling.

i got to sit in the Big Brother chair and chat to Big bro too!! all in all a good night... but it didn't end there..

12th September ..The LA girls re-united after 4 years!!

Well wasn't that nice? haven't we aged well... 4 years ago we were all together in a little bar in Fulham London drinking and catching up... Now look at us! all grown up.. still looking gorgeous though! (lok thru some of the older photos and you'll find us!!)

I met Linda and Kerryn 6 years ago when i was living and working in USA Hostels Hollywood Los Angeles... not new one, but the old one on Hawthorn Ave. What fun times that was! 5 months of drinking, sex and comedy! It's like the Eagles song.. you can check in but you can never leave. I was going to be there for a week.. 5 months later my visa ran out and I had to leave... Kerryn was going to be there for a couple of days... 2 weeks she ended up there for and the same with Linda. She strolled in one day and we've all been friends ever since. Ahh the summer of 2000 what fun!!

Kerryn managed to extend her stay in London so off we went to Wales to see Linda and Tomos and Brian for the night. had fun time catching up and playing with the baby.. although I did managed to get him and myself covered in tea in the first 5 minutes of arriving.

So there i was again on the Sunday back at Brick Lane. It was the curry festival day and there were a heap of stalls set up with food and souvenirs. Lisa and Chris were with me to keep me entertained as we strolled the Lane and soaked it all in. Wandered thru an environmental display all about waste and pollution in London and how to keep it greener. It was quite interesting!!

That was until i got a huge chunk of something in my eye that i couldn't get out!! took ages. water didnt' help so I ended up sticking my finger in my eye and rolling it around till the chunk got stuck and came out. odd.

9th September.. beers and sheeshas

Camden!

Day 2 of Kerryns' visit. Richard came up from down Gatwick way and we all headed to Camden for a few beers on the lock side of Camden. It's certainly changed in the last few years!! Cleaned up alot and new shop fronts. I still love Cyberdog. Great clothes and kick ass music (If u like your techno...)

Decided to head to Brick Lane for a curry and endedup getting 20% off the bill! Woo hoo! There are always people there trying to get u into their restaurants all doiing deals for meals.. I wonder if we could've blagged a free bottle of wine too??

Well the meal was delicious and so off we strolled for a few more brews. Ended up in a funky sheesha bar toking on a strawberry flavoured sheesha. mmmm yum! It got really harsh there at one stage so we were ging to leave, but all of a sudden the flavour came good and we puffed away for another 15 mins taking phoots of each other and having a good laugh..

8th September

The Vegemite Tales! YAY! A play about life in London for Aussies and boy did it hit home. It was so funny and touching at times. A bit disappointing as Blair McDonough wasn't playing Dan in the play, but Patrick Harvey ie Connor from Neighbours was there instead.

It was a bit of a shock that Connor had an Aussie accent instead of his usual Irish brogue!

Such a great play though and a definate must for all Aussie backpackers who've spent any time in London.

The play coincided with Kerryn flying back into London for a visit! YAY! I haven't seen her since Jan 2005 so it was great that she came and slept on the floor for a few days.. We all headed to Chiquitas in Leicester Square after the play for a few cocktails....
